Awesome food. Loved the Fish & Chips with coleslaw dinner.

10/4 1130 am. No one inside. 3 of us. Ordered 2 turkey clubs and a waffle. Took 30 minutes for food to come. No one checked on us. Club sandwhiches were tiny. No specials were offered. Will not go back....

Small town breakfast & lunch restaurant with good food and friendly service. Plan to return.

We went on a Sunday morning around 8am so not so crowded. Food was good and waitress ensured our coffee cups stayed full.

Very quaint cozy.Clean friendly only had one server but he was very good did an excellent job. The food was very good. Definitely worth another try.

Food is not good. Instant mashed potatoes. The worst Ruben i have ever tasted. Over breaded meatloaf and I could go on and on. Don't even bother trying this place. I wouldn't go back even for a free meal

Interesting that a restuarant would serve food but not have REAL butter to put on toast...for months now. I guess it's byob... bring your own butter.

I have only been here 3 times so far, getting something different each time. Their food is made really good! As for those "lovers of hot food" they served the hottest potatoes then any other place i've been to in this area. I'm going back there this morning.Alson if you enjoy watching the news while having your breakfast this is the diner for you.

The food and the prices weren't bad, but the portions were small. The service was slow as they seemed to be understaffed with only one waitress working at 8 am on a Saturday.

Excellent food for the price. But there were not many people there. I see other reviews complained about service but that was not our experience yesterday. A young man with on us who was pleasant and helpful.

Good food little pricey

Plain and simple it was a bad experience. The waitress had to keep asking what we got, and on top of all that she was quite rude.

Again, the food was fine. Everyone seemed to enjoy. Cherry pie was delicious.

Out standing environment, price, and customer service. Low noise, friendly people, the owner was a delight. Highly recommended for a quite place to have a meal with family and friends.

Had breakfast there. Hot, crispy, potatoes. Toast or muffin or raisin bread and more. 3 refills of coffee. Reasonable prices. Very nice staff. Booths and tables. Plenty of parking. If you miss the Pancake Farm since it closed, go here. Open 7 days a week, breakfast all day. Open 7-2. Lunch also.

Breakfast was ok nothing special

Went there for breakfast during the week. I waited 4-5 minutes to be seated and was only person in line. I know they were short staffed, if I didn't know better I thought the hostess/waiter was the cook and bus person. Slow to take my order which by the way was done by memory (bad idea) I asked for white toast and got wheat toast, also asked for well done hashbrowns which were cooked and barely hot. The waiter failed to keep an eye on my coffee which I finished and had to flag him down for more. Although the waiter was very cheerful he lacked the ability to satisfy the 6-10 customers there. Not sure if I would stop again to be honest.

Great small town restaurant. Highly recommended. Cozy, nice, and open setting. Good selection on the menu.

Went there for the first time this morning. Very disappointed. Stood for almost 10 mins waiting to be seated then when 1 of the 2 waitresses decided to come up they took the 3 people standing in line to pay before they even acknowledged us. Walked out and went to yoders and was seated and served in less then 10 minutes.

SEE UPDATE, BELOW! So disappointed. I've been to the other location (Ella's) many times and have had a good experience. I was looking forward to a similar breakfast outing at Eli's. Stopped in a couple weeks ago and ... The grouchy/surly greeter was also my server! Never smiled. Made me sad for her. The just-OK food was not served as I had requested. Bland and unimaginative. I'll stop in again sometime for a second chance. Hoping it's better.UPDATE: Second chance was much better. "Grouchy greeter" in far better mood. Must have been a bad day on first visit. My server was extremely pleasant and attentive. Food still "just OK" but acceptable for the type of restaurant.

Good, basic food. Typical diner fare next to a well-known bakery. Parking lot and in-and-out can be tricky depending on traffic. Ample seating. Decent prices. Odd decor with a lot of religious references. OK staff ... Friendly for the most part. Lots of locals stop in. Sadly, no real maple syrup for their excellent french toast.

I am typically a patient guest when it comes to food service. I've been a weekly breakfast customer at this restaurant. Several times recently, upon arrival at 6 AM (opening time), I've been told that the cook (owner) is not in yet. This morning I was informed that the owner will be 15 minutes late. Food is good. Service is fine. But the owners (cook) habits are bothersome.

Good food, I was dissapointed that no bread or fruit was offered with my quiche.

Always good food, pleasant background music, and never a wait. Open til 2:00 daily for breakfast and lunch. Attached to Achenbachs Bakery so you can take home some yummy longjohns!!!

Food was nothing special and over priced was my first time and I doubt we will go back.

Great place and hospitality

This diner style spot is right on the main strip in Leola. It is a great location because it's connected to Achenbach's Bakery! The restaurant is nicely decorated and has plenty of seating. We had the Eli's breakfast special which is two eggs, potatoes, 2 pieces of bacon, one sausage link, and two pancakes or french toast. Service was fast and food was good and very filling.

This was a great place - great food, good prices, good service. It was our first visit and we definitely recommended it!
